Like Reid Krueger, I too have many fond memories of Aunt Melba. Most involve making apple butter. Such a kind, loving soul. Rest in peace Melba.

Your family have my sincere condolences. Death is never easy and it brings great sorrow. But know that God will surround and comfort you at this difficult time. He is aware of your pain and he cares for you.. 1st Peter 5:7.

I hope being first here isn't breaking any unwritten protocols. I can be pretty bad with that kind of stuff. Apologies in advance if I come across a little much here, but I don't believe I can be too gushing about Aunt Mel. The world lost a light. Same when her sister Laura passed. Such sweet and warm and enjoyable souls. My family knows "Aunt Melba" from my stories and remembrances of her growing up. I'm so glad and I think better, to have known her and enjoyed her glow, the twinkle in her eye when I was a kid, as well as grown. I'm glad she's not suffering, and I hope everyone can remember her joy the way I do. Godspeed Aunt Mel. We love you.
