Keaton, Gerald J., on January 23, 2017 at the age of 78. Loving husband of Kay; Loving father of Elizabeth (David) McGinnis and Amy (George) Kirkou; Loving grandfather of Sarah Renaud, Olivia Renaud, Lydia Kirkou, Samantha McGinnis and Sydney McGinnis; Loving brother of Janet Kolb (Kevin Derksen) and Karen Keaton (Michael Ursch). Gerald is preceded in death by his parents Leo (Theresa) Keaton.

Services: The Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center is caring for Gerald’s family. Memorial Gathering will be held 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2016 at the Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall dr. St. Charles MO. 63304.

Family will be having a small private service prior to the memorial visitation for Gerald.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions are appreciated to the National Stroke Association or American Red Cross .

I read somewhere in the process of dying people tend to die as they lived. In other words nice people get even nicer, funny people die being funny. Those tendencies in many cases intensify as we near death. Although Jerry was unable to communicate as he slipped away, I know what tendencies he would have exhibited. Kindness, caring, supportiveness and loyalty. That's how Jerry treated everyone he met. That's the Jerry I knew. George
