Condolences for Edward Arthur Bailey

I worked with Ed at the St.Louis Zoo Railroad. He was one of the finest engineers I worked with. Loyal and dedicated he was a friend I could trust and depend on. He was such a devoted family man and even though I was not in touch with him very often after he left the zoo I will miss him. My sincere condolences to the family. Jul Hoehl

My husband Steven Blake worked with Mr. Ed and he then lived with all the guys in Fort Wayne Indiana in a big farm house with all the Missouri guys. I married Steven and lived there with them till we bought our own place. Mr Ed was the kindest, most respectful, hard working, great friend to all and had a great sense of humor. We missed him when he retired but kept in touch via face book. Somewhere I have pictures of him being silly. I just told my husband and he and i both send condolences and were blessed to have known him.

I would like to extend my sympathy to Mr. Bailey's loved ones, and share with them these promises from the Bible. May they bring comfort in this time of sorrow. Jehovah God is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are discouraged. And he will wipe away the tears from all faces. Psalm 34:18; Isaiah 25:8 NWT. Peace be with you.

My name is Roz Patterson and I am a friend of your son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Angie Leahy. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting you and your wife on two occasions and both of those occasions were very pleasant. We remember your warm smile and sense of humor. You had a wonderful spirit and that's what I remember most. Rest in peace Mr. Bailey. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Patterson of Florissant, Mo.

I didn't know Ed, but if the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, then Paul is a torch bearer for a great dad. I can't imagine a better student and person than the young Paul I had in class at Hazelwood Central.
