Debbie L. Oberreither

February 21, 1962 - December 31, 2016

Beloved wife of Kurt Oberreither; loving mother of Kurt Ryan, Erika and Tory Oberreither; dearest daughter of Hilda (nee Aumer) and the late Donald Coffey. Friend, sister, cousin, and aunt to many.

In 2016 Debbie and Kurt celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. To Debbie nothing was more important than family. At family gatherings she would often recall memories of her Dad and before long she would have everyone splitting with laughter. She was fun. A diehard fan of her son’s band, she never missed an opportunity to see them live in St. Louis. In addition, Debbie enjoyed summer nights at the St. Louis Muny and traveling with her daughter.  Her infectious laughter and openheartedness touched many. Debbie reminds us to love now and never hold back.

A memorial gathering will be 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles, MO 63304. A memorial Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10:00 am Saturday, January 7 at the Old Cathedral, 209 Walnut Street, St. Louis, MO 63102. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to Stray Rescue of St. Louis.

To my forever childhood friend......our friendship was a treasure, as were you. I am grateful for the many years of memories we shared and for the kindness and support you were always willing to give. We laughed, we cried, we grew more wise but we never grew apart. I loved you like a sister and cherished you as a friend. I hope they saved the sparkly wings just for you; you deserve them.
